After two flights totalling 22 hours of flying time, Federbär and us - his travelling companions - have arrived in Zürich! Landing at 6am meant we couldn't check in to our accommodation yet, so we spent the day working through all the paperwork and administration we needed to do. Registering our place of residence, setting up phones and opening bank accounts.

I'm wishing I took more photos but my phone ran out of battery, the marble hall of the bank building would've been worth a shot and the amazing macaroons from Sprüngli, called Luxemburgerli. They're so cute and tiny (and delicious!)
Clearly the sugar wasn't enough, because after getting to our temporary apartment at 4pm I was asleep by 5. I vaguely remember Pat trying to ask me some questions and I tried really hard to wake up and answer them, but fell asleep again before saying anything coherent.
Overall, a very successful first day, we got all the things done that we needed to get done before starting work on Monday.
